The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Review

The best Single Player MMO ever created! And that’s not a compliment.

Every now and then a game enters the gamersphere and completely sweeps it up in hype. Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was one of those titles. When it was released in 2011, it managed to grab the mind shares of many gamers and game journalist. To the point that I chose to avoid it until the hype dropped. A little over a year later, I finally picked up this game and gave it a shot. Let me start this off by saying that my review may upset some. If you’re not a fan of criticism, you may just want to avoid reading it altogether.

Story
After a short dialog exchange between some prisoners, you’re thrown right into the world of Skyrim with not much back story. Mythological dragons have entered the world of Skyrim and people are in disbelief. Upon joining forces with a clan of your choice, you slay your first dragon and discover that you are a Dragonborn. Spike Game Awards

Well, caught the end of the 2011 VGA on Spike… while I can’t claim it’s been a great year personally for gaming, others disagree.  But they gathered hundreds of movie stars that wouldn’t know Mario from Zelda and paid a bunch of musicians I never knew to play music half of the stars and producers hate.  Throw in some awkward obsession with pressing male genitalia on speakers (‘teabagging’) and some other creepy moments and you have a great hollywood attempt at caring about gaming!
